But now research results from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, USA, show a markedly improved health and growth in pigs that receive 2 shots of iron of 1 ml 200mg/ml:

THAT’S HOW MUCH IRON SUPPLEMENT A PIGLET NEEDS
Pigs are born with approx. 50 mg of iron in the body, of which 90% is already bound as hemoglobin. Piglets need 67 mg of iron per kg of growth, and iron supply via sow’s milk is limited to 1-2 mg/day. There is therefore a need to add a minimum of 325 mg of extra iron during the feeding period – which is easily done with 2 shots of Uniferon®.
Uniferon® is in a 20% solution, which has the advantage that each piglet only needs to be injected with 1 ml at a time. It is both easier and without discomfort for the piglet to have such a small volume injected.
