Information about Privacy Policy at Salfarm
Are you concerned about safety and privacy concerning your personal data? It is important for us that you have confidence in letting us use your personal data, and that you are aware that we do it in a legal and trustworthy way. Salfarm aims to ensure a high level of protection of your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how Salfarm uses your personal data, why and which rights you have when you are registered.
The types of personal information we collect: We may register various types of information about you in our computer-systems – data used for procurement, sales, relevant marketing and technical support. Data in our systems include basic contact information like company name, name, address, e-mail, phone numbers, position, authorization numbers and area of expertise. Furthermore, we may register visit reports and data about medicinal samples and material, handed out. Our mail system includes correspondence with our partners, which may among other things contain contact information and enclosed files.
Why do we collect and register personal information: In most cases Salfarm handles your personal data in order to meet and manage our business obligations, e.g. invoicing, in accordance with the Danish Financial Statements Act. In some cases, our sales staff registers customer information in order to comply with the current Medicines Act and to provide the best possible technical support.
How do we collect personal information: We collect and register data, which: (i) you give to us personally when becoming a partner and when you communicate with us, e.g. at meetings and conferences; (ii) are generated, when you send mails to us.How long do we keep your personal data: The data is kept for the duration of our co-operation or as long as there is a legitimate reason for it. Information that is required by law, will be kept according to the respective laws, such as fiscal data and documentation according to The Medicines Act. With whom do we share personal data: We may pass on your data to subcontractors such as data processors who process data on our behalf. The reason for this is that we from time to time use these for supporting our computer systems. These data processors may, however, not use your data for other purposes than stated by us. Furthermore, we may share your personal data internally in the Salfarm group. We are also obliged to pass on data required by law and public authorities like, tax authorities, the Danish Medicines Agency or the Police.
How we protect personal data: We work continuously to protect our partners’ and our employees’ privacy. Our security measures include data, IT infrastructure, buildings and technical facilities. We take great care about information security, to prevent breaches and loss of data. Data access is limited to those with a legitimate need and all processing is regularly monitored.
We take a structured approach to virus protection and other external threats. We also instruct our employees about IT security etc. in order to raise awareness about the importance of safe and appropriate personal data.
Your rights: You are entitled to know which personal data we have registered about you, why and how we treat them. You have the following rights: – Right to access (request insight to which data we register about you) – The right to rectify (if you notice an error, we correct or supplement our records) – Right to delete / object (data which is no longer required or when you oppose processing and where your interest outweighs ours) – The right to limitation (if you believe a particular use lacks legal basis) – Right of transferability (if – under certain conditions – you wish to have your data transfered to another party).
